Formby beach, Liverpool.

Formby beach in Liverpool, on the west coast of England is truly beautiful, especially in the warm weather at sunset. These pictures I hope show you just a hint of that beauty.

Stunning sunset, Worcestershire.

I just thought you might like to see this stunning sunset from Sunday evening.
It promised a glorious Monday and delivered.

Sunsets in spring.

In summer the sunsets are wonderfully expansive pink and orange skies.

We are not there yet, but this spring we have had some moodily sunsets, splashed with streaks of purple and pink.

Stormy looking clouds and indigo blues they are beautiful in a gothic sort of way.

 Stark black trees show off their fine fan like branches against this moody backdrop.

Orange, Red, Pink and Blue

 "I wandered lonely as a cloud", is such a weird line. I guess it is there just because it scans and rhymes with crowd, but I have never seen a lonely cloud, (or crowd for that matter). Fluffy plump looking cumulus and thin wispy stratus clouds are never on their own.

They are however beautiful, and then there are the sunsets and dawns. Orange, red and pink merge into one another, making silhouettes of the horizon.

Icy walk along hill ridge, Malvern Hills

 Firstly the picture of the fence from yesterday. Must have tried to download too many pictures. The next picture is of the sun setting last night, and as you can see the trees were still frosty.

 Today is just as chilly and I walked from Gardiners Quarry up to the top of the Malvern Hills, and then walked along the ridge. This view looks out towards the west side of the hill. I particularly like how the frost clings to the rowan trees.

 The next picture is looking North along the ridge of the hill. The sky was quite overcast but for a moment it cleared allowing me to capture the treetop detail.
