Upper Beacon Road, Malvern Hills, Worcestershire.

L-R Broom and Gorse bushes

Pathway
After just over a week of warm sunshine filled days the rain has returned.
One of my favourite walks in this weather is over the hill, towards the beacon from the Upper Beacon Road car park. An easy climb, and although you cannot see very far due to the heavy mist, the large expanses of yellow gorse and broom plants at this time of year.

Wyche Cutting, Beacon Road, Malvern Hills, Worcester/Herefordshire border

 A stroll between showers.

Gloriously sad, profound the tree's like mourners weep their second hands tears. The hill ridge path like a ribbon of sure ground rises between the heavy mist, as a narrow island between two endless grey sea's. The snowdrops in Grundy's Meadow hang their head's, respectfully still and quiet.

But the sharp green gorse, which just weeks ago was heavy with frost clinging snow, now is resplendent, covered in golden sunshine yellow. They are laughter for the eyes.

Some day's nature beauty is just poetic.
