Marathon Runners Poem

On the day of the London Marathon, and in memory of the Boston Marathon bombing victims, a poem dedicated to all those who run for charities.

The Humane Race

Humanity is frail and flawed
We would be diminished by perfection
It is through the overcoming of Physical faults and failings
That humans become humane
The beauty of each life's race
The golden blessed memories
Of gentle words and kind deeds.
